A stay at a boutique hotel is often an exciting treat. It’s worth spending some extra cash staying somewhere truly independent, isn’t it? There’s no mention of the names ‘Travelodge’, ‘Hilton’ or ‘Premier Inn’ in this post.

The Old Mill Bed and Breakfast, Yarm, Teesside

As the name suggests, this Teesside B&B is a converted Windmill circa 1750. It offers luxury with a warm welcome and comfortable and relaxing setting. There is a beautiful guest lounge with an open fire, a stunning dining conservatory used to serve breakfast and an outside heated spa. For those wanting to get out into nature, the surrounding landscape provides much choice.

Signature Living, Liverpool

Now this place is a little different. You can combine the luxury of staying in a boutique hotel with the fun of staying together in a large group of your friends.

Signature Living, in the fabulous Northern city of Liverpool, offering spacious, flexible accommodation in a stylish setting. Each floor of the hotel has it’s own distinct flair and identity with the philosophy remaining consistent throughout the 1880’s built building. The hotel is perfect for Stag and Hen nights. They won’t even kick you out for bringing the party back to the hotel – they actually encourage it!

The Bondgate Boutique, Alnwick, Northumberland

Located in one of the North’s most picturesque and historic market towns, The Bondgate Boutique is fantastic ‘room only’ hotel. This Grade II listed building is also a short walk from The Alnwick Gardens and Treehouse Restaurant. This boutique hotel offers a small, private experience with a total of just 7 en-suite rooms.

If the TripAdvisor reviews are anything to go by, this place should be top of your list when staying in the Northumberland region.
