Middlesbrough must have been crying out for Orange Pip Market! I didn’t get chance to visit August’s event but from friends chat and social media updates it looks like it was another resounding success.
I’ve been to each Orange Pip Market event on the last Saturday of each month since it launched at the end of May. Last month’s was a bit of a disappointment to me because it was just so over crowded so when I heard the news that it was extending into a neighbouring street then this was music to my ears. You can read Declan’s post here about the Bedford Street food scene.
By all accounts though, two streets still weren’t enough because the crowds just kept coming and some of the food stalls were successfully sold out within two hours. This is great news for the town – so long may it continue.
As I didn’t visit this time here’s a selection of some of the fabulous traders that visited and contributed to the fun filled frivolities. That Cake and The Nut Hatch we can personally vouch for so give them a definite visit next time.
Just Wanted To Say A Huge Thank You To Everyone That Attended Our Stall At @orangepipmarket Yesterday. It Was Lovely To See Some Of Our Regular Customers As Well As Plenty Of New Faces Too. This Photo Is From Our Stall In June As We Didn’t Have Enough Time To Take A Photo Yesterday. It Was Non Stop For 2.5 Hours Until We Sold Out. We Made A Record Amount Of Cake & Sold Out In A Record Time For Us, So Thank You! Apologies To Friends Etc Who Attended But We Didn’t Really Have Time To Chat To ?. We’ll Be Back At The Orange Pip Market In October & November So There’s Plenty Of Time For You To Get Your Requests In ? Finally, A Massive Thank You To @karen.barnes1 & @lukeyboyevans For Your Help As I Wouldn’t Have Managed Without You Guys ??
Let us know what you think if you’ve visited and what other great Northern food markets you can recommend. We hope the Orange Pip Market continues to go from strength to strength – we can’t wait to find out what the Christmas ones will be like!
