2017’s festive season is upon us! Santa will soon be on his way!
For the next month, leading up to Christmas we’ll be sharing some fantastic ‘Northern Christmas Themed Events’ happening throughout the region this year! This is the second part with more to come so keep your eyes peeled all over our social media or better still why not sign up to receive post updates?
Orange Pip Market, Middlesbrough
The last ‘Orange Pip Market‘ of the year takes place on Christmas Eve on Middlesbrough’s Baker and Bedford Streets. As well as the usual food and craft stalls, they’re also promising Victorian carol singers, Christmas hit sing-a-longs, mulled wine and more.
It will take place from 12PM and run on till 6PM. What’s great is that it’s free; just take plenty of cash for all the lovely food and last minute Christmas gifts!
Grainger Market Late Nights, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
After the success of last year’s event, Grainger Market will be hosting a late night special on Friday 1st December. There will be a huge variety of Christmas inspired goods as well as four stages with live music played by locals.
Entry is free but they’re also offering three VIP passes starting at £5 for the bronze package, increasing to £10 for silver and £15 for gold.
Santa’s Slay Ride, Motorsports Village, York
A bit of a departure from the usual Christmas event…
York Motorsports Village are challenging drivers at their go-kart track to be like Santa! You become Santa by setting the best time. The fun really begins when you must give all of your fellow racers some presents.
Santa’s job is to then chase all the drivers down and get back their presents. This means that, as Santa, you may end up with all the presents, some or none!
This sounds like great fun; especially for office Christmas parties!
Available throughout December; prices are £32.50pp at weekends and £25.60pp for weekdays.
Christmas Ice Festival, Liverpool
Running till 7th January, Liverpool’s Christmas Ice Festival is back!
Featuring an ice skating rink, ice bar, ice slide (pictured above) and Apres Lodge, as well as the usual festive food & drink stalls, the event is not to be missed for all!
It’s best to book all the ‘ice’ attractions ahead of time.
Ice Skating is £11.50 for adults. The Ice Slide costs £5 per person.
That’s It For Part Two
That’s all for our second selection of Northern Christmas Events happening for the festive season.
